Ballantine Beackreamer Overview

Some backreamers have built in swivels and others require external swivels.  The backreamer is a cutting/mixing tool attached to the end of the drill string that is pulled and rotated through pilot bore to enlarge the path.

Function:

  • Cut Soil/Rock

  • Attaching point for material that is being pulled
  • Delivering fluid for removal of soul, lubrication and wall building to keep the bore path open
