Ballantine Drive Chuck Overview

The Drive Chuck is a replaceable attachment that connects between the spindle on the carriage of a drilling unit and the uppermost pipe on the drill string.

Function:  To sustain the wear that would otherwise occure on the spindle from making up (threading) and breaking out (unthreading) multiple drill rods.  This also protects the drill rods life and dependability.
